My car is a 1969 fastback mustang that has been backhalved and tubbed. It still retains the stock type front suspension, and other than the hood, is still all steel. The car weighs about 2850 lbs with driver and 5 gallons of fuel. It has gone a best of 6.14 @ 112 mph with a 1.31 60' on alcohol with a junk converter and a 402 inch clevor/powerglide combo. After a converter change, it went 6.23 @ 110 mph on gas, and probably would have gone 6 ohs on alcohol. That motor is currently damaged after breaking a valvespring which allowed the piston and valve to come into contact with each other, breaking the head off the valve which then tore up the head and the piston. The car had run a best of 6.18 @ 110 mph with a 357 inch stock rod cleveland/C4 combo on alcohol with a 1.32 60'. All my motors use/used iron 4v heads. The 402 clevor had Keith Craft prepped CC heads on it that flowed 360 @ .750 intake and 249 @ .750 exhuast. The stock rod motor used home ported OC heads.
